The holistic wellbeing of the community has always been the wish of Mr. Stephen Tonteh who is an environmentalist and a community developer. The community of Bafanji is one of those many communities in West Africa, precisely in the North West Region of Cameroon which faces the common challenges faced by other developing rural communities which includes but is not limitedto lack of clean water accessibility, lack of good infrastructure, poor farming methods, and unemployment.The idea to set up a community organization with the full involvement of many inhabitants of the community was highly embraced and this initiative took off in full swing with the active involvement of over 150 persons in the Bafanji community.BAWASH, working as a sub-branch of ASpirant Smart Center Cameroon. The ideas keep growing day by day and we keep involving ourselves(time and resources) fully. The BAWASH Association aims at fully developing the Bafanji community and also extending its hand of support to other communities that need help
